Men's Crew Competes at Head of the Charles Regatta

UConn Men’s Crew traveled to Boston, Massachusetts to compete at the 55th annual Head of the Charles Regatta. The Huskies entered a Varsity 8+ competing in the Collegiate Eight event.

Connecticut faced some of the fastest crews in the country, including MIT, Marist, Michigan, and Temple, as well as international crews from China and Japan. The field was a staggering 38 boats deep. The Huskies finished 24th. They recorded a time of 15:23.542, less than three seconds behind Marietta College and over seven seconds ahead of Colby College.

The next regatta for Men’s Crew will be the Head of the Fish Regatta in Saratoga Springs, NY. The Huskies will have three varsity eights, two varsity fours, and two novice eights competing on Fish Creek this upcoming Saturday.
